Welcome to the Takacat family! We stand behind the quality and durability of our inflatable catamarans. Please read below for details about your warranty coverage, responsibilities, and how to make a claim.

What’s Covered?

PVC, Hypalon & TPU fabrics: 3 years against defects in material or craftsmanship.

Air chamber seams: 3 years against defects in material or craftsmanship.

Air deck floors (material and seams): 3 years against defects in material or craftsmanship.

Parts & equipment (handles, D-rings, seat, oars): 3 years against defects in material or craftsmanship.

Accessories purchased separately: 1 year from date of purchase.Warranty replaced parts: 1 year from replacement date or until end of original boat’s warranty, whichever is longer.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does NOT cover:

- Damage due to over-pressurization
- Any damage to baffled air chambers
- Mold, mildew, or environmental damage
- Using power greater than max HP listed on the HIN plate
- Overloading, misuse, abuse, or neglect—including improper docking, towing, driving, packing, transport, or storage
- Rental or commercial use
- Collision, puncture, tears, abrasions, theft, or fire
- Modifications to the boat (may void the warranty at the sole discretion of our warranty team)
- Corrosion or premature wear due to improper maintenance, assembly, or disassembly
- Demo or used boats
- Consequential and incidental damages
- Racing usage
- Sticky hull skin due to lack of UV protection
- Any non-standard use, DIY changes, or unauthorized repairs

Warranty Terms

Warranty start date: Date of purchase as shown on your proof of purchase

Warranty is non-transferable: Coverage applies only to the original purchaser

Shipping costs: Customers are responsible for both return shipping and shipping costs of all replacement parts

Shipping location & possible fees: All warranty replacement parts are shipped from the USA. If you are located outside the United States (including Canada and Mexico), you may be responsible for additional import duties, taxes, or fees levied by your country.

Claims review: Our team will review and respond to all warranty claims within 3 business days

Parts availability: If replacement parts are not in stock, there may be a wait before shipment

Warranty support:
All warranty claims and repairs are handled via email only; we do not provide phone support for warranty matters

Why register?

Registration ensures your boat is protected by warranty and you can easily access support when you need it.

How to Register:

If you purchased directly from Takacat Americas, your boat may already be registered for you. Check your email for registration confirmation.

If you purchased from a Takacat dealer, please register your boat using these steps:

  • Go to our customer portal.
  • Create a support account or log in.
  • Fill out the registration form with your boat details (serial number, purchase date, dealer info, etc.).
  • Submit the form—you’ll receive a confirmation email once your registration is complete.

Submit a Warranty Claim

If you run into an issue and need to make a warranty claim, don’t worry—we’ve made it easy:

  • Log in to your support account.
  • Click "Submit a Warranty Claim."
  • Fill out the claim form with your boat info, description of the issue, and any supporting photos or documents.
  • Submit your claim—our team will review and get back to you as soon as possible.
