Removable Tube Transom®

The revolutionary removable Tube Transom® allows the Takacat to pack up smaller than traditional inflatable boats. The open transom design and the raised deck allows water to continuously drain, so even with wet swimmers or dogs aboard, the deck, gear and lunch stays dry. The Tube Transom® mechanism also accommodates add-on accessories, such as beach wheels and fishing rod holders, which double as umbrella holders for extra sunny days!

Ultra-Stable On The Water

The catamaran design of Takacat makes for comfortable cruising for the whole family. The aerodynamic tapered bow skims over the water, even if it’s choppy, so the ride stays smooth. The fully removable inflatable air deck floor system inflates to 10 psi and provides an extremely steady and rigid surface for stability on the water, and a non-skid deck surface allows for maximum traction.

Easy, Quick Setup

Takacat can be fully assembled in about 15 minutes. Set up is simple and requires minimal tools so the boat can easily be assembled at the drop in. Hulls can be inflated through a standard Halkey-Roberts valve using an electric air pump, or the included hand pump. When the day is done, simply unplug, push air out of the hulls and roll it to fit in the carry bags. The carry bags are vented, so you can put the boat away wet and it still stays fresh.

Built To Last

Smart design and high-quality materials make the Takacat durable and easy to maintain. The hull tubes are made from tough, 0.9 mm 1,000 denier PVC that resists puncture by hooks or paws, and the sides and bottom are reinforced with heavy-duty rub strip to protect against abrasion. Due to the unique design, Takacat uses 50% fewer seams than traditional inflatables and hull seams are quadruple overlapped and glued with a chemical bond. Gluing seams resists brittleness better than welded seams on other inflatables. If hulls need to be replaced, simply order new tubes and assemble as usual.
