Revolutionary Tube-Transom®
The removable Tube Transom® allows the Takacat to roll-up into two easy-carry bags. This unique design creates an open transom that lets water continuously roll out of the back of the boat keeping the deck, you, and your gear dry. It also means you’ll never need to bail even when fishing all day in the rain! The tube includes built-in fittings for rod holder accessories.
Stable Casting Platform
The inflatable catamaran design of Takacat makes for a soft, smooth ride, even in choppy waters. The drop-stitch PVC air deck floor provides an ultra-stable surface for casting and keeps you steady when lines are tight and when you need to land a catch. Non-skid coating on the deck lends superior traction.
Low Draft for Shallow Water
Lightweight catamaran style construction glides over the water so you can access fishing hot spots. The shallow draft allows Takacat to get up on a saltwater flat so you can hunt, or skim smoothly through cabbage in backcountry waterways to reach those secret honey holes without grounding the boat.

Propulsion Adapts to Salt or Freshwater
Takacat performs with an outboard as easily as it can be rowed, so it can be outfitted for the water, techniques, and species you’re fishing. Inflatable construction keeps the boat lightweight, making it efficient to power with an electric motor in electric only lakes or reservoirs. Depending on the model, Takacat can be used with outboards up to 25 hp, electric or traditional, for a hassle-free day on the water.
Quick Assembly
Takacat can be quickly inflated and assembled in around 15 minutes with no tools required. Hulls inflate and deflate through two air pressure release valves using the included hand pump or an electric air pump with a standard Halkey-Roberts valve. Assemble right at the drop in location or elsewhere and transport to the water using optional quick-release wheels. Once deflated, the Takacat simply packs down into two carry bags.
Hook Resistant Construction
Extra durable rubber construction resists accidental hook snares. The hull tubes are constructed with durable 0.9 mm, 1,000 Denier custom made 3-ply PVC reinforced fabric material, with full length extra rubber reinforcement under the tubes. Rubberized rub rails on the sides of the tubes offer extra protection. Takacat is also available with UV stabilized Hypalon / CSM (Polyethylene Synthetic Rubber) material.
