This revolutionary inflatable diving boat fits into two small carrying bags so you can transport them on a flight as checked luggage or drive and dive. The inflatable catamaran design is ultra stable and the open bow and inflatable air deck creates a low diving platform that is rigid enough to stand on, and ideal for entry and exit from the water. Paddle out to a reef for some snorkeling or add an outboard and head to open water.

Board Easy from Land or Water

The unique open bow design of the Takacat provides easy boarding for gear and divers, and the rigid air deck floor creates a firm surface to enter the boat when docked or beached. Along with the low draft of the catamaran style construction, it also makes getting in and out of the water easy, even in full SCUBA gear.

Ultra-Stable Diving Platform

The catamaran design and rigid air deck floor system of Takacat creates a firm diving platform and plenty of space for gear. The air deck floor inflates to 10 psi, and is high-pressure laminated and heat pressed to the top layer creating a rigid, ultra-durable surface. The deck surface is coated with special non-skid coating with added UV-protection, for maximum traction and durability.

Removable Tube-Transom®

The revolutionary Tube Transom® is removable to allow the Takacat to pack up considerably smaller than traditional inflatable boats. It also reduces the weight of the boat by 15 lbs compared to similarly sized inflatable boats, making it ultra portable. The open design of the Tube Transom®, along with the raised deck and open bow, means water continuously drains, so even with wet swimmers and equipment moving in and out of the boat, the deck stays dry.

Resists Abrasion, Puncture & Wear

Takacat pairs innovative design and high-quality materials in a boat that is durable and easy to maintain. The hull tubes are made from tough, 0.9 mm 1,000 denier PVC that resists puncture, and the sides and bottom are reinforced with heavy-duty rubber coating to protect against abrasion from sharp objects like shingle or coral. Takacat is designed with 50% fewer seams than traditional inflatables and the hull seams are quadruple overlapped and glued with a chemical bond. Gluing seams resists brittleness better than welded seams on other inflatables. If hulls need to be replaced, simply order new tubes and assemble as usual.

Easy, Quick Setup

Takacat can be fully assembled from the carry bags in about 15 minutes—no trailer or storage needed. Set up is simple and requires minimal tools so the boat can easily be inflated right on the shore. Hulls can be inflated through a standard Halkey-Roberts valve using an electric air pump, or the included hand pump. When the day is done, simply unplug, push air out of the hulls and roll it to fit in the carry bags. The carry bags are vented, so you can put the boat away wet and it still stays fresh.

Light Environmental Impact

Takacat has a shallow draft that lets the boat glide on top of water to easily access shallows without disturbing sensitive aquatic life or grounding the boat. The Tube Transom® makes Takacat significantly lighter than traditional inflatables so it’s nearly effortless to row out to a prime snorkeling or swimming spot. Or, depending on the model, add an electric or traditional outboard up to 25 hp to get to the dive site faster; the low draft, paired with lightweight construction keeps Takacat lightweight on the water so the outboard uses less power when planing.
