No need for the hassle of a trailer or the cost of storage. Pack down the boat into two carry bags and throw it in the trunk, closet, or overhead compartment. The carry bags are vented, so you can even store it wet and it stays fresh.

The open bow, raised deck and rigid air deck floor makes boarding passengers and cargo effortless from beach, dock, and even a larger vessel. Combined with the shallow draft of the boat, entry and exit from the water is just as simple, even for small children and pets.
Fast-Draining Removable Tube Transom®
The revolutionary removable Tube Transom® allows the deck to drain continuously, so the boat never holds water. Lightweight stainless steel construction on the tube makes the boat 15 lbs lighter than traditional inflatable boats.

Durable Single-Seam Construction
The hulls are constructed with a single seam, rather than the double seams on standard inflatables. Less seam work minimizes the likelihood of damage at the weakest spots of the boat. The seams use a chemically bonded gluing system for durability against brittleness.

We offer Takacat LX series boats in two standard fabrics, and the difference matters.
PVC
- PVC has long been the workhorse of inflatable boats: light, affordable, and easy to pack.
- PVC is the lightweight champion. At the lightest weight in the range, PVC keeps your packed boat easy to carry, stow and transport. The trade-off is lifespan: PVC contains plasticisers that gradually leach out over time, so the material stiffens and ages faster than TPU.
- PVC is the least expensive way to get on the water. If you are looking for the best value to get out there for your next adventure, then PVC checks all of the boxes!
TPU
- TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is the premium alternative, engineered for demanding conditions and a longer service life.
- TPU is built for the tropics. It resists UV degradation far better than PVC, staying sticky-free and supple season after season in intense sun.
- TPU is thicker and tougher. Our TPU fabric is 33% thicker (1.2mm) than our PVC fabric (0.9mm). That thickness brings superior abrasion and puncture resistance, so it takes rocky beaches, oyster beds and rough handling in stride. It also stays flexible in extreme cold, where PVC can stiffen or crack.
What About Hypalon?
Long considered the gold standard for inflatable boat durability, Hypalon has earned its reputation, and TPU matches it. Life expectancy, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, UV resistance: TPU is near equivalent across the board.
So why do we recommend TPU over Hypalon? Practical advantages: TPU seams are welded, not glued. It's easier to repair, weighs less, and costs less. Hypalon's durability without Hypalon's price tag.
